Extrude the Metals
Create a new layer below "Metal Right" layer and name it "Metal Extrude R". Command-click the "Metal Right" layer Vector Mask Thumbnail to load the selection and fill it with 30% Gray. Get the Move Tool, holding down the Alt key press Down Arrow on the keyboard to extrude the layer two pixels down. Now create a new layer above the "Background" and name it "Metal Extrude L ". Command-click the "Metal Left " layer Vector Mask Thumbnail to load the selection and fill it with 30% Gray. Get the Move Tool, holding down the Alt key press Down Arrow on the keyboard to extrude the layer two pixels down

Extrude the Metals
Get the Rectangular Marquee Tool, make sure "Metal Extrude R" layer is selected in the Layers Panel. Make a selection like in the below image for every metal part on that side and hit Backspace to clear the unwanted pixels. Then apply a Gradient Overlay Layer Style to "Metal Right" layer and use these settings: Blend Mode => Normal, Opacity => 60%, Gradient => Black, White, Style => Linear, Angle => -59 and Scale => 10
.

The Legs
Make "Right Legs" and "Left Legs" layers visible. Select the "Left Legs" layer, hit Command+T, set Reference Point Location to middle left and set Vertical Skew to 45. Then repeat this step for the "Right Legs" layer. Seleck both leg layers in the Layers Panel, hit Command+T and set Rotation to 31 degrees. This will give us the right angle to properly extrude the legs

Extrude the Legs
Create a new layer below "Right Legs" layer and name it "Legs Extrude". Now Command-click the "Right Legs" layer thumbnail to load the selection. Then holding down the Shift key, Command-click the "Left Legs" alyer thumbnail to add to selection. Fill the selection with 30% Gray. Get the Move Tool and holding down the Alt key press Left Arrow on the keyboard twice to extrude the legs 2 pixels to left

The Legs
Select three legs layers in the Layers Panel. Hit Command+T and rotate the 14 degrees and apply. then hit Command+T again and set Vertical Scale to 60%, apply and place the legs like in the below image

Organize Layers
Drag "Left Legs" and "Legs Extrude" layers just above the Background in the Layers Panel

Add Some Style
Now apply a Gradient Overlay Layer Style to "Right Legs" layer using these settibgs: Blend Mode => Multiply, Opacity => 70%, Gradient
=> Black, White, Angle => -90.

The Reflection
Duplicate the "Metal Right" layer and name it "Metal Ref". Drag it above the "Top Extrude" layer in the Layers Panel, set Layer Opacity to 20%. Apply a Gaussian Blur with a Raidus of 2 pixels

The Background
Create a new layer above the Background, name it "Bg" and fill it with color #8ec0d4. Apply a Gradient Overlay using these settings: Blend Mode => Overlay, Opacity => 25, Graident => Black, White, Reverse => Checked, Style => Radial, Scale => 150
.

The Shadow
Command-click the "Metal Left" layer thumbnail to load the selection. Command-Shift-click the "Middle" and "Metal Right" layer thumbnails to add them to selection. Create a new layer above the "Bg" layer, name it "Shadow" and fill the selection with Black. Drag the shadow below like in the below image. Then go to Filter > Blur > Surface Blur and apply with a Radius of 30 pixels and Treshold of 140 levels

Oops!
Finally we need to make some final touches on the left metal parts. Double click the "Left Legs" Layer Thumbnail and set color to #666666. Then go to "Metal Left" layer and apply a Gradient Overlay using these settings: Blend Mode => Normali Opacity => 50%, Gradient => Silver, Style => Reflected, Angle => 180 degrees and Scale => 75%

    I wonder if it is easier to create this in Illustrator? ….. but PS definitely gives more flexibility.

      You’re right, 30 or 45 degrees of rotation followed by a horizontal 60% scale can be used to create almost any isometric stuff.

    im doing fine but the gradient bit makes no sence to me :( whenever i try to add a gradient it only apply’s on the backround and not on the “top extrude”

    I had a bit of trouble at step 22, so I found out that you needed to move the Top Extrude copy layer down two times while holding shift..
